Vicky from The City Cradle blog created a whimsical birthday party filled with candy-colored decorations and old-fashioned games.

The chandelier, made from pieces of cut felt (575 pieces to be exact), served as the original inspiration for the rest of the decor, with little circles popping up everywhere from the outdoor seating to being strung along on wires.

But Rebecca from Fresh Chick Design Studio (via Creative Hostess) used the trippy series, Yo Gabba Gabba, as inspiration for her son's 2nd birthday and it makes the colorful, dancing, creepy creatures somewhat bearable (let's face it, parents either love or hate that kids' show).
