Juicing is no longer one of those weird habits reserved for health nuts. We're all starting to get in on the juice fad, and as a result, fresh squeezed fruit and veggie juices have started being carried all over the place -- from Starbucks to Whole Foods to regular grocery stores. But these seemingly super-healthy juices are apparently not without their own problems. Juices Incorporated (aka Juices International and Juices Enterprises) is recalling a ton of their products, because their carrot and beet juice products have the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium which can cause botulism, a serious and potentially fatal foodborne illness. That's just greeeeat!

The FDA is warning consumers to steer clear of any juice products or other beverages from the company. Even if they don't look or smell spoiled.

Check your refrigerators, freezers, and anywhere else you may have stored some meat, because there's yet another huge recall you need to know about. The products are from Manda Packing Company, and it now includes 468,000 pounds of meat.

It's being recalled due to possible bacterial contamination from Listeria monocytogenes. While there haven't been any reported illnesses, this is something you don't want to mess with. So here's what you need to know about this recall.

Frozen pizzas and other frozen dinner foods are often a lifesaver when you're in a pinch to prepare a meal, but you may need to think twice before popping one in the oven. New York-based snack food company, Rich Products Corp., had to recall more than 10 million pounds of frozen pizza, mozzarella bites, Philly cheesesteaks, and other products linked to a rare and potentially dangerous outbreak of E. coli poisoning.

The strain found in the foods, E. coli O121, has already has sickened 27 people in 15 states who ate certain Farm Rich and Market Day frozen chicken quesadillas, pizza slices, and other snack foods. And at least eight people have been hospitalized, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which updated cases on Friday.

In the meantime, three million pounds of the products were still out there for sale on shelves. Yeah, I'd say that's a bit worrisome ...

You know that big canned tuna recall we told you about last week? Well check your pantry again because it just got bigger. The tuna recall has doubled. Dang, just when you thought it was safe to have that tuna fish sandwich. Wednesday it was 22,500 cases recalled. Now it's been bumped to a whopping 51,000 cases. Zoiks!

We're talking same brand (Bumble Bee) plus a new brand (Brunswick) and same problem (loose seals). Thankfully no related illnesses have been reported. YET. Here's the 411 on the expanded recall so you can make sure you're not caught in this widening net of unsafe tuna.

Canned tuna is no doubt an easy, fast, protein-packed lunch, so it's no wonder we all (moms especially!) stock up on it on occasion. But if you have lately, you may need to double-check your pantry, because Bumble Bee has issued a voluntary recall for a whole slew of its products. Specifically, the 5-ounce Chunk White Albacore and Chunk Light Tuna.

Thankfully, it's not because the fish was definitively found to be tainted (although oceans being as infested as they are these days, who knows, but I digress ...). The reason behind the recall, according to the FDA: There were loose seals on the cans. Wuh-oh!

    The FDA explains ...

I admit, I've been voyeuristically gawking at these stories about mystery horse meat popping up all over the UK and thinking to myself, "Oh well, at least it's not happening here." But all along I had this sinking feeling that the stuff would come galloping upon our shores. Has it finally happened? Because apparently now some of Ikea's Swedish meatballs contain horse meat. Oh flervenghäst!

Yes, Ikea's latest exciting product no one asked for is horse meat. Czech veterinarians have found horse meat in Swedish meatballs labeled as containing pork and beef -- and bound for stores in Belgium, Britain, the Netherlands, and a few other European countries. Could the U.S. be next? Are Swedish horse meatballs the new Malm table?

Potentially bad news for you cereal lovers out there: Kellogg's is recalling certain boxes and batches of Special K Red Berries due to glass shards that may have ended up in the packaging during a production snafu. The Special K recall is voluntary and, according to the Kellogg's website, includes 11.2-ounce and 37-ounce packages, as well as 22.4-ounce twin packs.

Here are all the details you need to know:

Time to double-check your packaged greens again, everyone. There is a nationwide recall for organic baby spinach in 5-ounce and 16-ounce trays (those little plastic boxes). The alert is coming from Taylor Farms Retail Inc. The spinach may be contaminated with (EHEC) Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli. It can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, the usual -- and, in worst cases, kidney failure. So we do need to take this one seriously.

This is a less common strain of E. coli, most commonly found in cattle intestines. And yes, I'm sad that once again it's organic that's been contaminated. Even organic can go wrong sometimes! The spinach has been distributed to at least 32 states, so read the following information carefully.

We hear about food recalls so frequently these days, I wouldn't be surprised if we're almost becoming desensitized to the idea that our food supply is potentially totally dangerous. But I'm not sure how anyone could NOT be totally shocked and appalled by the latest: Some packages of Lean Cuisine ravioli, made by Nestlé, are being recalled because they may contain fragments of glass, the Food and Drug Administration said. What. The ... ?!?!?

The "good news" is that the recall applies only to packages of Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli, with the production codes 2311587812 or 2312587812, and the "best before by" date of December 2013, the FDA reassures. But man oh man. If you're one of the unlucky people who bought or, geeze, attempted to EAT that ravioli ... woooo, should you be furious!

The horse meat scandal continues! Just when you thought it was safe to buy frozen lasagna overseas and ship it to your dinner table in Ohio, it's not. Food company Findus has discovered that some of their frozen "beef" lasagnas contained a whopping 60 to 100 percent horse meat and have recalled the product since the label obviously doesn't match what's inside. Horse meat poses no health risks. It's just kind of grossing people out.

Burger King was accidentally serving horse meat burgers in the U.K., and now the tainted meat supply has made its way into grocery store freezers. But the question everyone's asking is: Could this happen in the U.S.?
