Burger King to Sell Beer: Good Idea or Not?

Come mid-February, you'll be able to order a cold beer with your burger at Burger King's Whopper Bar in South Beach, Florida.

The restaurant will initially sell Budweiser and Miller products. A Whopper combo including a beer will cost $7.99.

Beer will not be sold at regular Burger King restaurants, but if the idea takes off in Florida, more Whopper Bars may be popping up around the country.

I just can't get my head around ordering alcohol at a fast food restaurant. I don't know if I would ever do it?

What do you think? Is beer at Burger King and other fast food restaurants something you hope will take off?

Honestly I don't think it's a very good idea to be selling alcohol at Burger King. The more ppl like the idea the more alcohol there will be around fast food joints. The last thing we need it more access to alcohol.

I don't see a problem with it really. This is definatly NOT a regurlar Burger King, so I don't really see a problem. I don't drink beer so I wouldn't be stopping by there just for that.

It's weird that is for sure. No drive thru right? hee hee -- Any way, I think people will like it. But I am with you, beer and fast food is an odd mix!

This just kinda made me laugh. We recently moved back to the states after 3 years in Germany where they sell beer at all the BK's and McDonald's.

I could see it now, drive through beer with a hamburger on the side. Wont the cops love this one. It seems more convenient for the local bar hops. What is America coming to? Over sized foods, & next drive up marijuana joints... Pun intended!
