I've been eating a lot of grapefruit lately, especially for breakfast. It's loaded with Vitamin C and fiber, and is also thought to be helpful for people trying to lose weight. I like it well-enough on its own, but then I came across Kitchen Parade's recipe for Broiled Grapefruit with cinnamon and brown sugar...have you ever heard of such a thing?
I'm going to try it!
Broiled Grapefruit
1 grapefruit, halved crosswise
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cumin
Move an oven rack to the top (or second top) position and set the broiler on high. Line a baking sheet with foil or use an oven-safe dish. With a back of a spoon, mash the sugar and spices until a sandy mixture, then spill evenly onto each grapefruit half. Broil for 3 to 6 minutes or until the grapefruit begins to puff and the sugar begins to caramelize.
Have you ever heard of broiling a grapefruit? How do you like to eat it?

Sounds interesting. Thank you for the recipe. I have a whole bag of grapefruits. I like to snack on them. I normally just eat one with either a tad bit of salt or a tad bit of sugar on it. I am going to try this next though.
My mom used to this for me as a little kid. I loved it. I still do it sometimes. We also take a knife and seperate the sections too before we broil, it makes it easier to get the juicy goodness out :)
Yummo! Sounds super delish!!
i think it will taste delicious and more sweeter... yum!!! lol haven't tried it but i sure want some now =-D
I do not like how bitter graperfruit is but I would like to be able to eat it. Maybe I will try it this way.
