I eat oatmeal for breakfast almost every single morning. So I'm always looking for ways to jazz it up. One of my favorite things to make in the fall is apple cider oatmeal. It couldn't be easier to make, and you don't have to add sugar because the cider is sweet enough on its own.
Here's how to do it:
Make oatmeal as directed on the package, substituting apple cider for half of the water you would ordinarily use. For example, I typically use 2/3 cup water for my single serving of oatmeal. When making apple cider oatmeal, I use 1/3 cup apple cider and 1/3 cup water. See? Easy!
I like my apple cider oatmeal topped with apple slices, cinnamon, and maybe a few slivered almonds. Delicious!
What do you add to your oatmeal to make it more "exciting?"
