Homeschoolmom99 browns the ground beef in a skillet, then adds it to the other ingredients in the crock pot, and cooks it on low all day. I prefer this method, too, but I've also provided an adapted version (cooked completely in the skillet) in case anyone is offended that this isn't a "true" one-pot meal.

Pineapple Sloppy Joes

2 lbs ground beef

1 can crushed pineapple, juice drained by one-half

1 red onion, chopped

2 cans Manwich

Brown beef in large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain meat on paper towels, and leave only enough excess fat in the pan with which to sautee onions. Cook onions over medium-high heat until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add pineapple, beef, and Manwich. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until sauce reaches desired thickness. Serve on hamburger buns. Or, Homeschoolmom99 prefers Orowheat Sweet Hawaiian Rolls split in half. Delish!
