Going Bananas for the Banana Fad Diet

TIME.com reports of a recent banana shortage in Japan, due to the huge popularity of the "Morning Banana Diet" among Japanese girls. Dieters eat as many bananas as they want for breakfast, along with a glass of room temperature water; they can eat anything for the rest of the day until 8 pm (except sweets); and they have to bed before midnight.

Apparently, even Japanese celebrities are now endorsing this fad diet, including a popular actress who used it to lose 26 pounds!
