I'm so tired of onion dip! It's pretty much been a fixture at every barbecue I've attended so far this summer. For something different, try this simple garlic aioli dip made with fresh garlic and mayo. It's perfect paired with fresh raw veggies (or potato chips if you're feeling really bad!).
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon butter (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter works well if you want something healthier)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Chop garlic very finely or run through a press. In skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in butter until just before it browns (about 30 seconds to 1 minute). BE CAREFUL! It burns very quickly. Stir sauteed garlic into mayonnaise. Serve with your favorite raw veggies.
