Non-alcoholic Frozen Grapefruit Shirley Temples from Rachel Ray sound so tart and refreshing! I think they'd be the perfect summer cocktail to enjoy at a baby shower or pool party!
Frozen Grapefruit Shirley Temples from Everyday With Rachel Ray (June 2009)
(makes 4 drinks)
2 cups fresh red grapefruit juice (about 4 grapefruits)
2 cups ginger ale
1/2 cup superfine sugar
2 tablespoons grenadine
4 maraschino cherries
Stir together juice, ginger ale, sugar, and grenadine until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 9 x 13-inch metal baking dish and freeze for 2 hours. Using a fork, scrape the surface to break up the ice, then freeze for 2 more hours. Scrape the surface again and divide icey mixture among 4 chilled glasses. Top each with a cherry. Serve immediately.
