Cozycabinmom and her daughter, Tiayla

Today in our weekly "Cooking With..." feature, we're lucky to have Cozycabinmom. She loves to cook, bake, sew, and knit (be sure to check out her Etsy Shop!).  What does Cozycabinmom love to make for her daughter, Tiayla? Keep reading to find out...

CM: How many kids do you have and what are their ages?

Counting my husband...two lol...and one little girl, Tiayla, age 5.

What is Tiayla's favorite thing to eat for breakfast?

Tiayla loves breakfast. On the weekends I like to make a big breakfast: Buttermilk pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon is one of our favorites. Tiayla's pancake must be shaped like Mickey Mouse.

What is her favorite thing to eat for lunch?

Turkey or ham sliced this with cheese rolled up in the middle and then cut into little pinwheels, fruit, and pretzels or goldfish.

What is her favorite thing to eat for dinner?

Tiayla would eat macaroni and cheese for dinner every night if I let her. She loves salmon patties, mac 'n' cheese, and corn.

What is one thing you can make better than everyone else?

According to my husband, buttermilk pancakes. For those of you who use a boxed pancake mix because you think making pancakes is too hard, you must try making them from scratch. It's easy, and they are so much better tasting!!

If you could eat one food every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pizza. I love pizza.

What is the last birthday party you had for one of your kids and what was the theme?

For Tiayla's 3rd birthday party, we did a Blues Clues theme. I sent out invitations that were clues that lead to the big party. I had Blues Clues balloons and decorations. I made two round blue cakes and cupcakes for a paw print. We barbecued hot dogs and had chips, dip, potato salad, and beans.

...and another.

How did you learn how to cook?

My mom taught me as it was one of my chores since she and my Dad worked full time. I would have to get dinner started, and she would finish it when she got home from work.

Do you have a favorite cookbook?

I love my Paula Deen cookbooks! And I look forward to getting my Taste of Home magazine each month.

If you could meet one celebrity chef who would it be?

Paula Deen of course. Love her.
