I love hosting people every year to watch the Super Bowl. But sometimes I get overwhelmed cooking all the food and making sure my guests have enough beer...Do you know what I mean? I just want to watch football already!
This year, I'm keeping my eye out for ways to simplify my Super Bowl celebration...
Chow.com has a great feature on Super Bowl Shortcuts. Some of the highlights include:
- Use a store-bought rotisserie chicken (instead of having to cook your own) in crowd-pleasing dishes like chicken nachos, make-your-own taco bar, or Mexican casserole.
- Make microwave popcorn (I love Newman's Own Light Butter flavor) and topping it with seasonings like cinnamon/sugar or garlic and cayenne pepper.
- Top plain frozen pizza with fresh ingredients.
- Buy pre-cut veggies from the grocery store and serve with bottled salad dressing.
Also, don't miss this popular finger-food thread in the Easy Everyday Recipes group. Moms discuss easy, low-cost party foods including Crock Pot Meatballs, Whiskey Hot Wings, and more dips than you could ever imagine!
