For any practicing Christian, Lent is a time where in preparation for the return of Christ, people take the 40 days prior to Easter to pray, reflect, and offer up a sacrifice as a token of appreciation for his big one. One thing many Christians give up is meat on Fridays for that entire time.

An Ohio veteran said he is taking that sacrifice to the next level, according to Inside Edition. Del Hall plans on  only drinking during his fast -- giving up food entirely for the duration of Lent. So far, Hall said that everyone he has told his plan to seems to agree: "They think I'm crazy," Hall told WKRC.

And when we found out what he was replacing food with, we're are inclined to agree.
