Cuban-Style Pork Chops

You know one of the awesome things about summer? It brings both the heat and the flavor. Simply put, you are truly doing yourself a disservice if you are not utilizing marinades and the grill.


... Or a grill pan. (They're pretty awesome.)

If you're looking to step up your pork chop game, you might want to give this recipe a try. Yes, there are a few extra steps involved, but they're totally worth it.

Marinated Cuban Pork Chops (adapted from recipe on FamilyCircle.com)


  • 6 boneless (center cut) pork chops
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 limes
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon (smoked) paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

1. Mix together all the ingredients (except the pork) in a bowl. Place pork chops inside a large resealable bag and add the mixture. Refrigerate for two hours.


2. Heat grill/grill pan on medium-high heat. Cook pork chops for 10 minutes on both sides -- or until fully grilled.

3. Cut limes and use to spritz each pork chop with lime juice.

Cuban-Style Pork Chops

Serve with your favorite sides.
