One Hot Mess Diverted

Made in Partnership With Daisy Sour Cream

My son is one of those kids who only eats three things. Chicken nuggets, pizza and tacos. Yes, I’m exaggerating, but only slightly. I’m telling you, he could rotate those three foods every day for two months and never get tired of them.

And because he loves them so much, he believes that everyone else should love them too. Which is why, when his summer birthday rolled around, I knew I’d be defenseless in suggesting a barbeque or an ice cream party. I let him choose what he wanted to serve.

Tacos won, which was fine with me. They’re easy enough to prepare for the masses. But because it was an outdoor party and in the heat of the day, I tried to skimp on what I learned was the most important ingredient of all – the sour cream.

“I’m NOT having tacos without sour cream,” he announced loudly in the grocery store as I tried to zip by the dairy aisle.

He’s actually the one that spotted Daisy Squeeze. Right there on the shelf was sour cream in a squeeze bottle with a click-on open-and-close cap and a perfectly sized valve stream for kids topping their own tacos. I didn’t have to worry about them sticking dirty spoons in and out of a container and best of all; I could stash a couple packages right in the cooler.

The party was a huge success and I think when all was said and done, the kids enjoyed squeezing their own sour cream even better than dipping their own ice cream cones!

What are your favorite taco toppings?
