We try to avoid eating in airports at all costs. Not only is the food often ridiculously overpriced ($3 for a water?), but most of it tends to gross me out.
Food courts are becoming harder and harder to resist these days, though—now that trip delays are the norm, particularly around the holidays. I, unfortunately, had to partake in an absolute disaster of cheeseburger when my flight was delayed four hours last weekend.
The New York Times recently rated the food in some of the nation's biggest airports. Bad news for me: Chicago apparently has some of the worst. Sounds like a good time for our top suggestions for healthy, on-the-go snacks for kids and parents, too!
Does your family eat in airport restaurants and kiosks, or do you tend to avoid them like the plague?
