Over 100 Days of Chipotle Burrito Bowls -- 2 Guys Who Seriously Can't Get Enough (PHOTO)

It has been said that “variety is the spice of life.” Well, don’t try to convince Mark Rantal or Andrew Hawryluk of that. Both of these men have, independently of each other, managed to eat the same burrito bowl at Chipotle for over 100 days in a row.

I’m guessing that this is one of those stories where some readers wonder, “How on Earth can you eat the same thing every time?” and some of us think “Yeah, I could do that.”

Put me firmly in the second camp: When a new Chipotle opened within walking distance of my work, I ate there every workday for at least two weeks and never shifted my order. I loved my “chicken fajita, no rice, extra veggies, mild salsa, sour cream, cheese and guac (yes, I know it is extra)” so much that I never got tired of it and never felt the need to branch out. How could something else be tastier than that? I'm not sure I could have made it 100 days, but I totally relate to these two Chipotle fanatics.

For Mark Rantal, the streak has been easy to maintain, both because he sees food primarily as just being fuel and because he enjoys being a regular at his local Chipotle, where he notes that the staff “really do cheer up my day and I try to do the same for them.” He recently discussed his culinary streak on a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” thread where he revealed that not only has he spent about $700 at Chipotle in the last 100 days, but he’s also gained back 14 pounds he wanted to gain, and that he has had no, err, gastrointestinal distress from his burrito a day habit.

Yesterday was my 100th day in a row eating Chipotle! I'm currently doing a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) and am on the...

As for Andrew Hawryluk, who is covering his Chipotle streak at his blog Chipotlife, the 23-year-old from California started his streak by vowing to eat Chipotle every day for Lent and then he just kept going. Thankfully his website also has a FAQ page, so I can assure you that he also reports having normal bowel movements. Good to know. And just check out his svelte bodybuilder physique!

Mark is currently at 106 days and Andrew is over 150 days and both are still going strong with no plans to stop or change their orders anytime soon. You have to be impressed with that loyalty! Anyone else think these two should get together for lunch soon? I have a great idea for a burrito place they could visit!
