3-Ingredient Dish of the Week: Yummy Nutella Crescent Rolls

Have you ever had one of those afternoons when you're craving something sweet but there's nothing in the pantry and you don't feel like running out to the store or bakery? You know what I'm talking about -- something rich and chocolately that will take your day from ho-hum to WOW in one bite. 


crescent rollsWell, we found just the thing -- a three-ingredient treat that will tantalize your taste buds and have your kids asking when you had time to become a pastry chef. Enter your new go-to snack/dessert/weekend breakfast: the Nutella crescent roll.

You won't believe how something this simple could be so delicious. What's great about these captivating confections is that you can have the ingredients on hand at any time so you can put these together at a moment's notice. (Though let's face it: You should probably hide the Nutella from the rest of the family if you really want to be certain you'll have enough for this recipe!) 

Here's what you'll need: 

1 package crescent rolls or 2 sheets puff pastry


Confectioner's sugar


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent dough or allow the puff pastry sheets to come to room temperature and cut each into 6 triangles. 

2. Spread a thin layer of Nutella on each piece of dough. Stop an inch before the point of each triangle. Roll the dough up. Roll them a few times to ensure that each is sealed. 

3. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes for crescent rolls and 20 to 25 minutes for puff pastry or until the tops are golden brown. Allow the rolls to cool for about 5-10 minutes and dust with confectioner's sugar. They're ready to go!

If you have any left (which we're seriously doubting), you can store them in an air-tight container and they'll last for several days.
