What a perfect time to share one of my very favorite cookie recipes: Cookie Dough Brownies. These are chocolate brownies topped with a layer of cookie dough topped with a melted chocolate glaze. It's almost ridiculous how delicious these taste. A warning to chocolate lovers out there: These babies are dangerous. I have to be sure I give them away lest I devour the entire pan myself.

Cookie Dough Brownies

1 package brownie mix (or your favorite recipe)

1/2 cup chocolate chips, added to mix

Bake brownies according to package. Cool completely.

For filling:

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup flour

Beat margarine, brown sugar, and sugar until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla. Blend well. Add flour and mix well. Spread mixture over cooled brownies.

For chocolate glaze topping:

1 6 oz package chocolate chips

1 tablespoon corn oil, margarine or shortening

Melt chocolate and margarine until smooth (I used a double broiler). Spoon glaze over filling and spread to cover. Note: If you refrigerate the brownies for a while before eating, they will cut easier.
