  • Grilled Lemonade

    1

Grilled lemonade seems like something out of a summer dream, right? Combining two summer staples (lemonade and grilled food) for one amazing drink? Well, it's real. It's simple, too. Just dip the sides of 16 halved lemons in sugar and grill until marked. Let them cool while you simmer 1 1/4 cups sugar and 1 3/4 cups water with a pinch of salt until dissolved; let cool. Squeeze the lemons through a strainer into a pitcher; stir in the sugar syrup and some ice and add a few of the grilled lemons. Happy sipping!

  • Grilled Watermelon

    2

Yes, grilled watermelon is a thing and YES this is delicious. To make it, cut the watermelon into slices and salt it. Let the water drain for 20 minutes onto paper towels. Rinse the salt, pat it dry, then place on the grill. Three minutes on each side. For a great salad, slice the grilled melon, throw it over some arugula, add some goat cheese, and drizzle a balsamic dressing.

  • Grilled Peaches

    3

Martha Stewart has an amazing recipe for grilled peach melba, but we like them plain and simple. Halve and pit the peaches. Throw them on the grill for 5 to 10 minutes on each side. Scoop some vanilla ice cream over it and eat. Purely delicious.

  • Grilled Bananas

    4

The banana really is the ideal fruit. It stands alone in deliciousness and doesn't need much of anything to make it better. But it can be better all the same. Enter the grilled banana. All gooey and oozy and wonderful, it makes a beautiful side dish at any barbecue, but dessert? Oh, dessert. Try these grilled banana splits. You'll think you are in heaven.

  • Grilled Pinepple

    5

Pineapples on the BBQ? Yes, please. Grilled pineapple is not only tasty, it's also a great low-cal way to get a summer dessert. Pineapple is good for you in so many ways, but add a little lime juice, honey, and cinnamon, and you have a dessert that looks much harder and more fattening than it is.

  • Grilled Grapefruit

    6

Grilled grapefruit is one of those summer treats you have to try to believe. Cut the grapefruit into quarters, drag it through a mix of cinnamon and sugar, and put it on the grill so it will caramelize. Pure perfection.
