Ben & Jerry's New 'SNL' Ice Cream Flavors Sound Too Good to Be True

Ben & Jerry's new flavors

If you're an ice cream fanatic, then you're totally going to flip over two new flavors Ben & Jerry's introduced, which are both inspired from popular sketches on Saturday Night Live.

I know ... when I first heard that, I was all, "Huh?!?" too. But it makes perfect sense. I promise.

The first new flavor is called "Lazy Sunday," and it's based on the sketch by the same name featuring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell. And duh, since "Lazy Sunday" centers around a love for cupcakes, I'm sure you can only imagine how to die for this particular flavor sounds.

Seriously. I'd happily gain a few pounds for a tub of this stuff.

It's a vanilla cake batter ice cream with chunks of yellow cupcake pieces in it and a chocolate frosting swirl.

O.M.G. Are you kidding me? I want it. NOW.

The second flavor is called "Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch," and it's based on Kristen Wiig's SNL character. It's chocolate and sweet cream ice cream with caramel clusters, fudge-covered almonds, and a marshmallow swirl.

Hmm. That sounds pretty delish too. Chocolate and sweet cream? Yes, please!

Ben & Jerry's debuted the flavors as an ode to Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary, and they will also supposedly have two more SNL inspired flavors later this year.

Oh, but I probably should mention there's a catch. You can only get Lazy Sunday and Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch at Ben & Jerry's stores in the U.S. and Canada -- so don't go looking for it in the frozen food section at the grocery store.

Damn. My Friday night plans just went straight out the window.

Do these new flavors sound good to you?
