8 Kids' Party Favors That Won't Annoy Other Moms

Nine out of 10 times, I really hate when my child gets a favor from a birthday party she has attended. But at this point in the game, party favors are expected, and when she or her peers leave a soiree without something, they feel cheated. But why do they have to be so cheap and cheesy? Personally, I'm especially tired of those bags of junk that we have received multiple times with those tiny plastic tops, little bright-colored slinkies, and random stickers. Seriously, the kids spend like one minute playing with them and then they just end up as under their bed or in the trash.

As a public service, we have put together a list of 8 party favors that won't annoy fellow moms and won't add to the clutter in our homes. You're welcome!

Love the seed idea. I recently bought my daughter little seed kits in the dollar section at target and she loves them. I'm kinda loving them too. It's came with a little pot, soil and a seed packet. We got the strawberry, tomato, poppy, daisy and sunflower kits. It's only been about a week and the poppy and sunflower are already starting to sprout and she is so excited to check on them and take care of them everyday. Definitely a better party favor than cheap toys or candy in my opinion.

Who can afford wine if you have a bug party? ! My daughter'once got a little decorated baggie of a small stack of chocolate chip cookies. ... that was genius. We did little (nice) activity books and sidewalk chalk this year.

Love the seed idea.  Seriously, wine? Who can afford that?  And the charity idea is good minus the stuffed animal part.  Books would be good too.  I am so sick of the crap candy favor.  Jawbreakers for 3 and 4 year olds?  Are you kidding?  I threw that stuff right in the trash.

What's with all of you saying "who can afford wine?"

1. It was a joke.

2. If you can't afford wine, which is now sold at some DOLLAR stores, then you shouldn't be having a birthday party. You obviously cant afford cake for so many kids.

My question is why do I have to feed, entertain, and provide your child a present for attending a party for my child's birthday. We let him pick the venue for his party every year and it is always an activity so it does cost more. When did we start teaching kids that they have to get something everytime someone else gets something ? My son has a party next weekend and we went to the store and got the birthday girl a present and he didn't get a toy just cause we walked down the toy aisle.

who the fuck wants dollar store wine? GROSS. and who even goes to the dollar store for wine? you might as well skip the whole idea.  And just because you cant afford 10+ bottles of wine... how doeas that mean you SHOULDNT have a party for your child?? cake and wine for a party favor has nothing to do with anything.
