Lol, it's a jar. You can do anything in a mason jar that you could do in a jar, mug, or baking dish. I like the little short wide mouth ones for hummus in my purse or a sweet beverage for my husband's lunch. He puts leftovers in the big ones for his lunch. You can keep a terrarium in a mason jar, too. :)
