Raise your hand if you are part of the peanut butter cup cult. Peanut butter cups are my weakness. I cannot underline the sentence I love peanut butter cups enough to truly express my love for them. It's a times a million squared situation. I'm not alone. I've had long conversations with similarly minded people about what peanut butter and chocolate combinations are the best and why, and what differentiates one brand from another, and even comparing them to the delightful ones made in little chocolate shops all over the country. Peanut butter cup discussions are serious. Because peanut butter cups make the world a better place. (Sorry to those who are peanut allergic.)
Nestle has fever-pitched the excitement by introducing the world to Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups. Smooth and crunchy. The collective mouth of the peanut butter and chocolate cult is watering.
It's the first new product launched from Nestle in five years, and it's giving Reese's Peanut Butter Cups some competition. I can only hope they too will come out with a mini and a dark chocolate version. Because as a peanut butter cup connoisseur, I have demands.
There will also be a new campaign launched for Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups during the Super Bowl on February 2, but they released a little teaser on what that's going to be about. Peanut Butter and Chocolate in couple's therapy! Giggle. Everyone knows that peanut butter and chocolate cannot end their love affair. (Again, sorry to those who are peanut allergic.)
This really is the best thing to happen to peanut butter cups in a long, long time. Well, since I tasted the dark chocolate mini peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's. You've had those, right? Oh my word, they are amaze. Butterfingers plus peanut butter cups equals double the yum I cannot wait to devour. The cult is satisfied!
What do you think of this new product in the peanut butter and chocolate ring? Excited to taste it?
