I was lost in Pinterest recently when I stumbled on a recipe for something called “Bacon Amazeballs.” Being a good American, I clicked on the link, thinking to myself that I would probably drool over it but not bother ever actually making them, because who actually makes all the recipes or follows the fitness regimen on their Pinterest boards?
Anyway, I clicked the link, and to my surprise and delight discovered that these little goodies are insanely easy to make. Five ingredients. That’s it!

- 1 can buttermilk biscuits
- brown sugar
The first thing you'll need to do is make the bacon. Use the thick cut kind, and sprinkle it with brown sugar before baking it in a 375 degree oven for about 30 to 40 minutes.
When it's done, it should look like this:
Drain some of the grease on paper towels, and when it's cool enough, chop it up into the most delicious bacon bits you've ever experienced. Please pay no attention to the fact that there's a bite taken out of one of those strips. It happens. It is bacon.
Also chop up your jalepeno and cheese, and grab your can-o-biscuits. I also used pepper jack, because it's my favorite cheese and I'd probably marry it if I could.
Cut your biscuits in half, and flatten them out before stuffing them with yumminess.
Pinch them closed. Do a better job than me. You'll see why in a second.
Drop the pan as you're putting them into the oven because you're a dork. Actually, you could probably skip this step.
Check how long to cook the biscuits for from the container that you already threw away even though you forgot to read the directions because you were busy stuffing your face with stray bacon bits. 350 degrees for 13 to 17 minutes.
This is why you should do a better job sealing them than me.
No matter. They were still delicious!
