Gay Waiter Gets Despicable Note From 'Christian' Customers

Horrifying 21

Food servers certainly never know what they're going to get when they go to collect their bill and see whether or not they've gotten a tip. Some servers end up with fabulous customers who leave enormous tips and beautiful notes. Others, however, end up with customers from hell. Like the one who told a waitress to "stop eating bitch." Some, like the waitress who got a racist note AND a $10,000 tip, get the best and worst of both worlds. Now we have a couple of religious customers who give religion a bad name. They reportedly left a note on their bill for a homosexual server that is so vile these people should never be allowed in a restaurant again.

The 20-year-old unidentified server at a Carrabba's Italian Grill in Overland Park, Kansas retrieved his bill and found this message on the back of it:

Thank you for your service, it was excellent. That being said, we cannot in good conscience tip you, for your homosexual lifestyle is an affront to GOD. [Homosexual slur] do not share in the wealth of GOD, and you will not share in ours. We hope you will see the tip your [homosexual slur] choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly. It is never too late for GOD's love, but none shall be spared for [homosexual slur]. May GOD have mercy on you.

No, may God have mercy on YOU, doucheholes! If these asswipes had such a problem with a gay waiter, then why not leave BEFORE this person worked hard and provided them with "excellent" service?

Ugh, I bet this server is really wishing he could have dumped their Nonna Testa right on their goopy, embittered faces.

And how exactly did they know this server was even gay? Are these imbeciles equipped with some kind of supersonic gaydar?

The community rallied around the server and customers have been coming in and specifically asking to be seated in the server's section. "We are here to meet your celebrity," a couple who came in recently told the hostess, who happens to be the server's mother.

For his part, the server is appreciative but prefers not to be famous. He released a statement saying:

The offers to help pay me back are much appreciated, but not at all needed. I’d prefer to let my work ethic and my service do the talking, nothing else.

Everyone's actions do the talking. The waiter's actions say "hard-working, proud, polite." The customers'? Theirs say "bigoted people who hide hatred and cheapness behind God."

Let's hope that someone leaves this waiter the $10,000 tip he rightly deserves.

Do you think a server's sexual orientation should matter even if it's against your religion?

why is everyone defending EVERYTHING but Christianity??? We condone sin, and celeb bs everyday but GOD forbid anyone have a view poiny while not wearing a rainbow flag.

Personally, I dont care either way. But if we are preaching equality, it goes both ways!! Stop religion bashing while at it.

NatAndCo NatAndCo

I didn't read any religion bashing in the article. I read some appropriate " hateful, cheap bigot" bashing though. It's not the writers fault if you believe them to be one in the same.

Maybe because as Christians we shouldn't judge. And that does go both ways. They were cafeteria Christians: pick and choose what parts of the bible they like. They may not care for his orientation and he may not care for their lifestyle either but between the 2, one side came out very non Christ like.

Not about religion. Its about freedom to express viee points .

So someone didnt agree with this waiters lifestyle big whoop....

Stop using the internet to start a witch hunt.

Sorry to hear this. These people are not practicing Christianity. God is Love. These people are full of hate. I just wish more people understood this type of behavior isn't what Christ teaches us.

Everyone has a right to freedom of speech, but if ur going to make assumptions about the people serving you, then use that as a reason to not tip your waiter, maybe you just stay home & eat. They had no problem stating their serves was excellent. Tip on that & not what you assume. As my Grandmom use to say, when you assume you make an ass out of you & me. Believe what you want to believe. If they were that offended by this waiter's sexual preference, they should have asked for a different person, instead of stiffing a hard working human being who makes most their living off of tips. People need to really start worrying about themselves & stop judging others. These people were just ignorant assholes.

Most loud gay people are not telling you that you need to be gay or you'll suffer eternal torment. Many loud and proud Christians do tell everyone that they need to be the same as then our they'll go to hell. I'm all for equality. Please stop telling me to believe in God or else - I like my faith much better than I could ever believe in your religion.

I am not against Christianity. I am against people trying to make me scared, miserable, or angry because I don't believe in their God. I bet this kid didn't go around saying Christians are terrible people, so why should they go around saying he is a terrible person? Follow the Golden Rule, people. Please.

Hey,  Adamat34, I believe the bashing of the "christians" was taken care of by those very same "christians" not by the writer of this little article.  These types of "christians" are so judgmental and mean that they make themselves look so much worse than anyone else could.
