Microwave Fudge Recipe So Easy It's Sinful

fudgeLet's talk about fudge. It's probably one of the best chocolate treats out there. I'm just going to say it -- I think it's better than a brownie. Something about its rich chocolate flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture gets me every time.

And I already know what you're all thinking: making fudge is already so simple to do. But let's be honest, there's nothing easier than using a microwave. This recipe takes all of the usual ingredients for fudge, but uses the microwave instead of the stove. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

This simple recipe is great for nights when you have a chocolatey craving but don’t have enough time on your hands, or for when you just don't feel like turning on the stove. Throw in some of your favorite nuts into the mix (or if you're like me, leave the nuts out), and you've got a delicious batch of fudge that will be gone almost as quickly as you made them!

Microwave Fudge Recipe adapted from Food Network

  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk for 5 minutes. (The recipe calls for 5 minutes, but in my experience, that's too long for chocolate to cook. I would suggest microwaving it for 1 minute and then stirring it. Then heat it for 30-second intervals until mixture is smooth.)
  2. Stir vigorously, then add the nuts (optional) and vanilla.
  3. Line an 8-inch square pan with buttered parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan.
  4. Refrigerate and then cut into squares.
