Not sure it makes sense to say you want to make your own oreos because you're not a fan of processed food but the very first ingredient is boxed cake mix...that would also be processed, so you're defeating the entire purpose.

I thought the same thing. Adding your own butter does not make it all natural.

These are not at all like an oreo... they are a cake! Oreo brand makes a similar thing, probably filled with the same 'goodness' as the boxed cake mix. But they are definitely NOT a replacement for an oreo cookie. lol

@ historymama that's why she said they are like Oreo Cakesters in the article.

um oreos are vegan and made with soy so I am not sure how this is the same?

SUGAR, UNBLEACHED ENRICHED FLOUR, HIGH OLEIC CANOLA AND/OR PALM OIL, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, LEAVENING (BAKING SODA AND/OR CALCIUM PHOSPHATE), CORNSTARCH, SALT, SOY LECITHIN, VANILLIN--AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CHOCOLATE.. Technicaly vegan, but not very natural. But unless you buy organic cake mix and make your own frosting - this version is worse.
