It only takes about 10 minutes to put all of the ingredients into the slow cooker, then you turn it on, forget about it, and in a couple hours, you have a delicious classic that's sure to please the whole family.

And aside from dinners on any given night of the week, macaroni and cheese is the perfect dish to bring to any pot-luck or summer cookout. It's simple, delicious, and extremely satisfying, which is the trifecta of a great crowd-pleaser.


Easy Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons minced onions
1/2 teaspoon paprika
3 cups milk
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite kind of cheese)
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni

Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray for easy cleaning. In a saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients. Pour in milk and stir with a whisk until no lumps remain. Heat and continue stirring until mixture boils and is thickened.

Add cheese and then macaroni. Stir until mixed well. Pour into a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or on high for 1 hour.

It looks good to me. Besides, most recipes are just a basic waiting to be doctored up! I would probably put more onion and maybe some garlic. I plan to try this recipe sometime, though ...

It would be a lot quicker to just boil the mac and add your milk, butter, etc. and less to clean up.
