Warning to Oreo fans: what you are about to read will change the way you eat them forever more! Apparently, the world has been dunking their beloved Oreos in milk the wrong way.
When you get your plate of cookies and a tall, ice cold glass of milk, you expect to make a bit of a mess when you dip. It's inevitable right? As that chocolaty wafer softens, bits and pieces cling to your fingers along with drips of milk. But it doesn't have to be that way. There is actually a nice and neat way to enjoy this beloved treat.
The key is utilizing that awesome, creamy filling ... and a fork. That's right, a fork. I know, it sounds odd. But it totally works. You just need to puncture that filling with the prongs and dip away. Easy, right? And I bet other utensils would work just as well: a kebab skewer, a shrimp fork, a coffee stirrer even.
As tidy as this sounds, however, I will admit there is still something fun about dunking the old-fashioned way, don't you think? So many simple joys from our childhood have faded away. It's nice that a few things haven't -- like dunking your Oreos. So if I am ever eating Oreos with the Queen of England, I will definitely use a proper, dainty fork, dabbing the corners of my mouth after every bite. But if it's just me and my 4-year-old, it's all about that messy, crumbly, delicious milk and cookie mess.
Will you try eating your Oreos with a fork?
