peanut butter brownies with chocolate chips

All I can say is: Good god are these delicious. They take the normal brownie recipe -- which, let's face it, is delicious also -- and flip the script on it, creating an insane marriage of creamy peanut butter and crunchy chocolate chips. If you have a party to go to in the future, or if you're, you know, just sitting around on your couch all day, you need to make these. Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies With Chocolate Chips: They're insane, ya'heard?

Peanut Butter Brownies With Chocolate Chips

  • 1/3 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

1. Cream butter and peanut butter in bowl until fluffy. Add sugars gradually, beating constantly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in dry ingredients and vanilla. Fold in chocolate chips.
2. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brownies test done. Cool. Cut into squares. Makes 1 dozen brownies.

This sounds like a delicious recipe, but it would be nice to have  ingredient measurements for a 9x13" pan version.

Wow, those look amazing. Astenken, you can just double the recipe for a 9"x13" pan, they will just be a thicker product so maybe needs a few more minutes in the oven. You could probably just increase the ingredients by 50% if you want a thinner brownie though. I want a big pan of them too!

I would like to make these, but I need them gluten free. Would you be able to tell me the adjustments I would have to make to the recipe.

I just made these and I suggest adding a splash of milk, I recommend coconut (that's what I added). The milk will help make the mixture not so dense and sticky.

For anyone wondering, I used crunchy no added salt PB, that worked out well. Didn't have a 9" square pan, only a smaller rectangular one, so brownies were a little higher in the pan but still delicious.
