The stuffing, the biscuits, the cranberry sauce, and of course ... the oh-so-delicioso sweet potatoes. Or more delicioso-ly, the Sweet Potato Casserole With Marshmallows. Yum.

It's a favorite of everyone's -- especially the kids, because of, you know, the marshmallows and all -- and it's super easy to make. Hey, why not whip up one of these casseroles tonight -- just to "test" it. Your family will thank you.


Sweet Potato Casserole With Marshmallows


  • 8 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup hot milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg (I prefer cinnamon!)
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 lb. marshmallows


1. Cook sweet potatoes until tender. Remove skins and mash. When smooth, beat in butter, milk, salt, and spices. Beat well.

2. Fold in walnuts and turn into buttered baking dish.

3. Top with marshmallows and bake at 350 until marshmallows puff and become golden brown.
