When it comes to fall desserts, apple crisp is one of my favorites. It’s sweet and tangy and completely comforting. Served with ice cream, it’s the perfect end to any meal. It’s great for Thanksgiving meals too, as it’s an excellent alternative (or addition) to all the pumpkin pies.
While it’s a simple dish that doesn’t require many ingredients, there are actually a bushel of delicious recipes out there that each take a different twist on the classic dish. Here are seven of my favorites.
The addition of gooey caramel puts this version over the top.
2. Apple Crisp With Salted Caramel Sauce
This is literally dripping with deliciousness.
It sounds a little strange at first, but when you try it, you’ll be sold.
You know how apples smeared with peanut butter are one of the all-time best snacks? This is even better!
The pears provide a little extra something, and that something is delicious.
Not only do the cranberries provide a nice pop of color, they also add a nice zing to the dessert.
This will blow you away.
What’s your favorite way to make apple crisp?

I love these! Yum...
I make mine with apples off our trees. I also serve it with homemade whipped topping and caramel and chocolate drizzle.
