Donut Hamburger Is Even More Delicious Than '50 Shades of Grey'

sunny side donut burgerSomething incredible awaits you for breakfast. Something so outrageous it's almost impossible to believe. It's called the Sunny Side Donut Burger. If you're imagining a hamburger with two glazed donut buns you're about halfway there. Now add a sunny-side-up fried egg with a melted slice of American cheese on that hamburger patty. Is such a thing possible? Yes, America. Yes it is.

It's being sold at Slater's 50/50 restaurants throughout Southern California. And I'm almost stunned speechless. What can one say about such a hamburger? I just... I don't even know if I dare fantasize about what it must be like to eat this.

Let me put out the good health disclaimer: Obviously this is not every-day food. The Stir does not recommend the Sunny Side Donut Burger as your ideal daily nutritious breakfast. I'm just saying: WOW.

Let's say I were an Olympic swimmer who actually needs to eat a bajillion calories. Pretend my body would actually know what to do with all of that... donut decadence. I just think that if that were the case I would be totally okay with eating this donut burger.

Or let's say I'm kidnapped by extortionists who say I HAVE TO EAT THIS DONUT BURGER or they'll start killing cute, cuddly polar bears. (Why would they do such a thing? I don't know, people are sick. Stay with me here.) If that were the case I would GLADLY eat that donut hamburger. I would happily slurp up every last bit of glaze and yolk. I would do it FOR THE POLAR BEARS. Because that's how much I love them.

So bring it on, sicko polar bear extortionists! I dare you to make me eat this donut burger! DO IT! Come over here with a donut burger. See if I won't! Please? Please someone give me a reason why I simply must, no excuses, eat this outrageously unhealthy yet irresistible donut burger.

What do you think of the sunny side donut burger -- amazing or gross?
