Back-to-school breakfasts can be quite a challenge, as any mom will tell you. My biggest problem has always been getting my groggy kids interested in eating at such an early hour. It's a long time until lunch, after all, and low-blood sugar never helped anybody learn how to do fractions or diagram sentences!
That's why I love these Happy Face Waffles from Dash. Kids can help with preparation for a little first thing in the morning fun, and because they're made with whole grains, fruits, and nuts, they're way more nutritious than any plain old bowl of cereal.

These are really cute, but I feel like I've really achieved something if I make just plain pancakes. I need to do more fun things like this!
cute but my kids are teens
How cute!
looks interesting
Cute!
What a cute idea!
We do this with pancakes. I usually put different toppings in different bowls and let the kids make their own faces.
the waffle face kind of creeps me out! haha.
