So what I'm about to tell you is probably unexpected. You'll probably look at your computer screen like "Jigga WHAT?!" and want to comment on this here post like I'm some woman with four heads attempting to misinform you. Welp, this is NOT a joke. Applebee's, you know, the chain that ranks up there with all those other yumtastic casual easy family restaurants like Ruby Tuesday's and Chili's, yeah, they're trying out this new hip approach to dining out. Not just great deals though. More like some franchises are referring to themselves as "Club Applebee's." Club. Applebee's. As in, come on over to this Applebee's and let's get DOWN.
Wait, this is the same place that makes that bomb Quesadilla Explosion Salad that I can't get enough of, right? Oh wait, that's Chili's. Either way, now, they're tackling cheap late night booze (open 'til 2 a.m.!) and half-price apps?
I mean, they say "See you tomorrow." I say, how could I NOT?
I can't lie and say this hip and happenin' makeover doesn't intrigue me. Who doesn't love a place where you can get 2-for-1 drink specials all day 'er day? The sangria pitchers are $6, people. I think I have that much change lying in my sock drawer, somewhere.
The only thing is, though, it's not exactly the most catchy idea right off the bat. I mean -- imagine it being a Friday night, you have the urge to let loose, you hit up your girlfriend and proceed to ask her to go down to Applebee's to pick up some cute men.
Silence.
... See my point? The day I say "Let's go to Applebee's" instead of "Let's go to our go-to hot spot with the happenin' DJ" (please also shoot me if I ever use that exact terminology) probably isn't right around the corner. I will say this: I do love Applebee's for their good eats and MASSIVE sized drinks, so who knows? Making those things more available with some good tunes blastin' in the background, and they could be on top of something here. Now, what to wear to Club Applebee's, that's a whole different ballgame.

Smooth move Applebees. You just lost a customer that has come in faithfully since the week you opened in my town.
No, but then, I don't go to Applebees anyway. A big night out for us is the local pizza joint or maybe Subway.
Lol, as soon as this baby is born and I can drink again (and think again) I'll probably enjoy it, in the meanwhile my friends have a built in Designated Driver and we all have an excuse to go eat some delicious Applebees! Yum!
