I toss in all different kinds of things to the boxed pasta salads. My favorite is adding canned corn, black beans, and zesty Mexican stewed tomatoes to classic ranch.
Easiest side dish I make is corn on the cob in the microwave. Don't even shuch it first, just microwave for 2 1/2 minutes per ear. When it's done, the husks and silks just come right off. We eat it as is, or butter a slice of bread and roll the ear of corn around on it.
The Garden Ranch sounds delicious!
I can easily make a meal of just grilled veggies and fruits. :)
