We know we are what we eat, but do we know what we're eating? Chances are, not really. Even the most conscientious label readers among us can be fooled, because too often those labels are lying.
It's sad, scary, and true. According to the Huffington Post, food fraud is a growing trend. So much of our food today is imported, and it's pretty easy to fool most consumers. So buyer beware, especially of the following five common foods that are prime targets for fake substitutes. You'll never view the contents of your grocery cart the same way again.

Yeah I agree the slide shows are a bit annoying,
But thank you for sharing this information
I would have to agree that the slide shows are a pain to load.
I am not really shocked by the fake foods though, although I have never heard of Kobe beef.
every time you think you are making healthier choices for you and your family turns out you have even more to worry about
Yikes.. Im not a fan of fake foods or fake information about my foods. I think maybe its time to crack down on laws that make it so people arent allowed to write false info about food on their boxes/packaging.
