The idea of taking a trip to either Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort just got a whole lot more enticing now that they are set to start opening Starbucks locations within all of their theme parks, starting with their California Adventure Park in June. (Cue the opera music.)
And after hearing this news, I'm not sure whether to cry out of pure joy, jump up and down and cheer, or get out my credit card and book a Disney vacation immediately.
OMG. Starbucks at Disney? Enjoying a venti pike before chilling out with the Mouse all day? Yeah -- experiencing "the magic" just took on a whole new meaning. And I'm totally diggin' it.
My husband and I took our first trip to the Walt Disney World parks with our son last December -- and on any given morning, you could find the two of us bitching and moaning about how we couldn't get a decent cup of coffee. Every day we suffered through cup after cup of that nasty imitation stuff they currently serve, and each day we complained about missing the 'Bucks a little bit more than the last. What can I say? We're more than slightly addicted to our daily caffeine fix.
It wasn't until we hopped the Monorail over to Epcot one day and stumbled upon the French coffee grinder stand that we truly felt human again. In fact, the lack of decent java in most areas of the parks was pretty much the only thing about our trip we didn't love. We even discussed buying one of those mini-Keurig machines to hide in our suitcase the next time we go just so we wouldn't be forced to drink the fake stuff again.
But now that we know we'll be able to get our favorite coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and treats right inside all of the Disney parks? Oh lordy -- our poor credit cards are going to wind up taking a major vacation beating. (I hope they can handle it.)
What is your favorite snack & drink spot at Disney?

The chocolate/vanilla chocolate dipped ear mickey mouse ice cream bars. They served them at my hometown high school, what what?! I had one of those babies everyday my Senior year. Anyways, great idea but I'm so darn cheap I take my own coffee and coffee filters to ANY hotel to avoid this exact situation you described.
that is great news!!!!!
Oh gosh, I haven't been to Disney in years! But as a kid, my family's tradition was always to get cherry sours at the candy shop. :-)
ew. Dunkin Donuts all the way
Call me when I can get a drink at the park, then we'll talk:)
