Texting a Coffee Machine Your Order Is the Best Part of Waking Up (VIDEO)

espresso machineCoffee used to be complicated. What with the beans, the grinding, the filtering, it was a whole thing. Then we made it simple. We got coffee machines. Then we made it even simpler. We got coffee machines that make one cup at a time. Then we got instant coffee, then fancy coffee we buy at shops, then coffee we buy in drive-thrus ... it's so easy to get a cup of Joe these days that it's hard to imagine it getting easier still. That's where the Textspresso machine comes in. Now you won't have to lift but a finger to your phone to get your caffeine fix. Simply text this one-of-a-kind coffee machine your order, and wham bam thank you ma'am, your beverage is served.

So far, there's only one of these puppies, so don't get your hopes up that you'll be texting coffee makers nationwide for your Grande in a Venti 1/3 Decaf, 2 pump toffee-nut, 1 pump vanilla, half nonfat, half soy, extra hot, no whip, no foam, extra caramel sauce, caramel macchiato. It's just not happening.

I can't wait for this to go mainstream. I am more than eager to text the office vending machine to get my afternoon Cheetos ready, and it's going to be awesome to text the cupcake ATM or the personal pizza vending machine or the baguette cooker. It might not save that much time or energy, but it certainly will be amusing to "communicate" with our favorite food dispensers. I've always had a close relationship with the edibles, and I'm excited for the day to arrive where we can take our friendship to the next technological level. "Hey pizza vending machine, you old friend you! I'll take a slice of pepperoni. You're the best. Love you! LOL. Kthxbai."
