Pi Day Pictures of Pie That Will Make You Lick Your Screen

pi dayHey everybody, it's Pi Day, the day we celebrate the wonderfully radical number 3.14159265 (and a whole lot of other digits), also known as Π. Get it? Today is March 14, 3.14? Yeah, I've just lost all of you but the math nerds now, haven't I? Well FINE, more pie for us then.

PIE is the best part of Pi Day. I couldn't tell you what the ratio of any Euclidean circle's circumference to its diameter has to do with pie, but who cares. The point is, pie, pie, and more pie. If you're like me, Pi Day always sneaks up on you and you find yourself on a Wednesday thinking, "Gee, it's would be fun to bake a pie today but I do not have time to buy the ingredients and make one." So let's do this instead. Let's just look at pies. Because that's fun.

Bonny Wolf says cupcakes are dead -- and pies are taking over. Is she right? Today she is. Tomorrow, probably not. But you should click here anyway to see the super-cute leaning tower of mini-pies.

Check it out: All the pie recipes we've ever posted on The Stir. A friend of mine is making the Banana Cream Pie With Salty Bourbon Caramel, but she lives on the other side of the country from me. Since I don't have time today to make it myself, I will have to satisfy my craving by just staring and drooling at that photo.

Watch people make pie crust at Black Jet Baking Company. Witness the pie crust fluting genius. Drool over the little hand-held pies, especially the Nutella hazelnut pop tarts. Below the video check out our SUPER EXCELLENT PIE EXTRAVAGANZA SLIDESHOW.

Have you ever had pie on Pi Day?
