If you had to choose a last meal, what would it be? I'm leaning towards fried chicken, donuts, ice cream, and mashed potatoes. However, I'm hoping that I don't ever find myself in the position that the people who ate these last meals did: These are the last meals of criminals about to be executed.
In a fascinating choice, artist Henry Hargreaves re-created the requested last meals of some of the most heinous criminals before they faced execution. At first glance, I see piles of mouth-watering food. Then as you take a look to the right you realize that it's the meal enjoyed by someone convicted of necrophilia, prison escape, rape, and over 35 counts of murder. Staring down to an artfully arranged breakfast of steak and eggs, hash browns, juice and coffee enjoyed by Ted Bundy just made me completely nauseated.
Of course, that may be the point.
Hargreaves, after all, is an artist who is staring into the dark side, yet showing us the delightful, delicious, even playful side to the horrors behind the bowl of ice cream. It's incredibly interesting, even while triggering the gag reflex.
Although it's hard to tell what a condemned man's last meal says about him -- especially the guy who declined a meal altogether -- it does make you wonder about what you might pick if you were given that kind of information. You're going to die right after you eat this, but hey, the good news is -- you can eat whatever you want! Which is totally why, as someone who can't eat gluten, I'd go for all the gluten in the world. But I'm certainly not going to commit a heinous crime to get it.

This is a bit creepy... I am not planning on committing any crimes anytime soon so I don't know....

they're prisoners who commited terrible crimes, why should they even get a choice?
Well I don't plan on ever doing anything that would put me in a postition to have a last meal and as far as that is concerned, they did the crime and knew what was going to happen to them for doing such so why should they get any special treatment before being executed, that's just crazy!!
But to answer your question, if I was going to have a last meal I would want Baked chicken, salad, baked potato and dutch apple pie with a coke zero to drink.
Diet Pepsi to drink or Bud Light. I would ask for crab legs, shrimp(both in Old bay seasoning), steak, baked potato with all the fixing and a big salad.
There's actually a really cool book called Meals to Die For, written by a prison chef who prepared over 200 last meals. It's a good read, quite interesting.
