Is it just me or does breakfast seem to be the most controversial of all the meals? Some people swear it's the most important one of the day, while others don't even bother eating it. Personally, I'm of the former camp. Without breakfast, I'm useless -- cranky, tired, completely ravenous by lunch time. I love breakfast, and breakfast loves me. At least I think it does.
Anyway, in honor of my affinity for this particular meal, here are 10 great quotes about breakfast. Yum.
Lewis Carroll: “Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Winnie the Pooh and Piglet: “When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.”
Francis Bacon: "Hope is a good breakfast, but it is a bad supper."
Michael C. Hall: "I like to think I am well-mannered. If I have the option at a breakfast place, I'll go with the grits. That's how Southern I am."
W.C. Fields: "I must have a drink of breakfast."
Michael and George Michael from the pilot episode of Arrested Development: Michael: "What have we always said is the most important thing?
George Michael: "Breakfast!"
Michael: "...no. family."
George Michael: "Oh right! I thought you meant in the things you eat."
Kristen Bell: "I rarely wear clothes when I'm home by myself. I love making breakfast naked. But you've got to make sure the gardener's not coming that day."
Arnold Schwarzenegger: "My body is like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't think about it, I just have it."
Steven Wright: "I went to a restaurant that serves 'breakfast at any time'. So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance."
Francis Bacon: "A bachelor's life is a fine breakfast, a flat lunch, and a miserable dinner."
Do you eat breakfast? If so, hasn't this made you hungry?
