Tracy Morgan can be kind of a jerk sometimes. But I developed much more respect for him this week after I read an article in New York Magazine in which he revealed something very, very awesome about his home in New Jersey. Get this: The 30 Rock star has a hibachi grill in his house identical to the ones at Benihana (and other Japanese steakhouses). Can you even imagine? I'm picturing myself cooking dinner for 10 of my friends on it: I'd flip shrimp pieces into their mouths and light a volcano-shaped stack of raw onion hoops on fire while they all clap and tell me I'm the best cook ever. Oh wow! I'm getting way more excited than I'd like to admit.
So, it got me thinking: Which other restaurant "toys" besides the hibachi grill would I kill to have in my home?
Five Guys French fries fryer. For anyone who eats, this is a no-brainer. These fries are the best in the business.
Starbucks Frappuccino blender. I've purchased way more of these than I'd like to admit. The ability to make my own Mocha Frappuccinos whenever my heart desired would likely make me a very rich lady.
Cold pressed juicer from a fancy juice bar. No, not those dinky ones that sit on the counter next to the toaster; I want one of those industrial-sized juicers where you can throw in a whole watermelon and it comes out all tasty.
Melting Pot fondue booth. Any time I've tried to make fondue in my cheap pot with the candle at home, it has messy disaster written all over it.
Wood-fired brick oven. To make pizza, of course. Although, something tells me this may be against fire code.
Potbelly Sandwich rotating toaster oven. Is there any other way to make the perfect tuna melt?
Dairy Queen Blizzard maker. Then again, maybe this isn't such a good idea to have at my disposal.
If you could have one restaurant-quality kitchen toy, what would it be?
