Is Extra Butter at KFC Worthy of THIS Kind of Meltdown?

fast food freak outI've already told you how much clueless people in fast food restaurants annoy me, but when it comes to people who freak out over fast food, I'm just plain fascinated ... and a bit scared. It's one thing to be a little irritated if the burger joint runs out of burgers, or to feel a little snippy when they screw up your order for the umpteenth time, but it's another to completely go berserk and make an idiot over yourself over fast food. Yet time and again, people do it.

My favorite one as of late comes from a KFC in the UK where a woman wants extra butter for her corn. When she doesn't get it, she completely rages. Watch and see:

"Why can't you give me more butter? Why?" I've never heard such passion in the question. And I love that she tells them to stop being rude as she unleashes a plethora of profanities while a small child is present. She must really love butter.

And she's not the only one who is driven to such madness by fast food. There are plenty of other fast food freak-outs, like Latreasa Goodman who really likes chicken McNuggets. A few years back she ordered and paid for her nuggets, only to be told they were out of them, which is an understandable bummer. But when they told her they could only offer her a burger or some other fare instead of her cash back, she didn't just get pissy, she got the cops involved and called 911:

This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money. Now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one.

I'm going out on a limb and saying she overreacted a little ... as did the woman in this video who didn't like the way McDonald's served up her burger, so she started throwing things.

And there are plenty more freak-outs that happen every day, across the land, because the truth is -- fast food does crazy things to people. Whether it's all the fat, or salt, or grease, it fuels a fury and a passion that takes hold of people and makes them slaves to it. I would think one's dignity and self respect would be worth more than something on the dollar menu, but maybe I don't eat enough fast food to be able to clearly relate to its power.

So let this be a warning and another reason to add to the list of why you should avoid or limit fast food consumption: Eating it may turn you into a crazy, raging lunatic ... unless you already are one, then it may just make you into a bigger one.
