'Top Chef Just Desserts' Recap: A Sweeter Side of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

Ken Todd and Lisa Vanderpump"Sweet" isn't usually a word one thinks of when it comes to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but everything was sugar-coated tonight when several of them were guests on Top Chef Just Desserts. The chefs were tasked with creating a dessert display to delight Lisa Vanderpump and be used for an anniversary celebration of her restaurant Villa Blanca.

Lisa's husband, Ken Todd, appeared first -- with dog Giggy, of course -- and gave them the directive. Each of the two teams was to create a presentation of as many as six desserts. All should be elegant, fabulous, and pink. Then the Housewives including Lisa, Kyle Richards, and Taylor Armstrong, along with Lisa's daughter Pandora and a few other guests, came back to sample the "big pink wow."

Besides Lisa alluding to Taylor's penchant for X-rated cotton candy consumption, the women were on their best behavior. They sampled, oohed and awed the desserts, and only Kyle seemed concerned about the calories.

In the end, it was the team led by Amanda that won Lisa over. She said it was the simplicity of the presentation that gave them the nod, but I'm quite confident it was because they were the team that made a treat for Giggy. Lisa even pointed out to the other team that they were amiss in this area. Note to chefs: Mega points for pandering to spoiled pooches.

Poor Craig was a mess as his teammates stood on the chopping block. He was the leader as he won the quick-fire challenge (and $25K) for coming up with the winning inspiration for a new flavor of gum (pancakes and fruit). His cocktail was hated by all, especially Kyle Richards, and the judges didn't hold back in telling him that if it weren't for the immunity he won, he would definitely be going home. The only thing that saved Craig from having a breakdown right there was that his former teacher, Sally, didn't get sent home. Her melting sorbet almost did her in, but in the end, it was Nelson's horrible cotton-candy-coated lollipops that sent him packing. If only he had put Giggy's face on them like he originally wanted, I bet Lisa and Ken would have liked them a whole lot better.

Did you watch Top Chef Just Desserts tonight? If so, which was your favorite dessert?
