twitter cookbookI've found more than one fab recipe via Twitter, and tweeted some of my own. Heck, who hasn't? Although every single time I use Twitter, I'm following a link to things like delicious ice cream sandwiches. This is the point, yes? Yes. Unless you're the writers behind Tweet Pie, who picked the best recipes written in 140 characters or fewer.

You may think -- like I did -- that it's impossible to create a food masterpiece with such limited instruction, but check out these tweets and you'll automatically get the genius of Tweet Pie.

Want to wow your guests with, say, some sort of fancy pate? Of course you do. Here's how tweeter Dianne Preece did it:

SMOKED MACKEREL PATE -- Blend pk SM with lem juice, tub Philadelphia, bl pepper, paprika. Serve on hot toasted bread.

You can see why Preece won a coveted spot in the very short 50-recipe book. And it's inspired me to cut down on the extra language and just shoot out a few of my own favorites, also in Twitter style.

Lemon Ricotta Dip

4oz goat cheese, 1/4 c ricotta, olive oil, lemon z, basil, salt & pepper. Mix, serve w/crackers.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

1.5 c flour, 3.5 t baking pwdr, 1 T sugar, 1 t salt, 1.25 c milk, 1 egg, 3 T melted butter, 1 c choc chips. Mix in order, cook on griddle.

Perfect Pork Chops

2 pork chops, marinate 2 hrs in soy sauce, lime juice, ginger, salt, and pepper. Grill for 5 minutes each side.

Raspberry Lime Martini

2 oz raspberry vodka, 1 ounce Rose's lime juice. Shake, not stir.

How easy is that?
