If you love lasagna but hate the tedious process of making an entire pan of it, why not try Lasagna Rolls for something different? You'll find it much easier to roll the individual noodles around a bit of cheese than painstakingly layering them one by one. Plus, this particular recipe calls for a lot less ingredients -- five, to be exact! -- than your typical lasagna, including a jar of your favorite prepared tomato sauce and spreadable, herbed cheese. What are you waiting for? Let's get rolling!
Lasagna Rolls from Today
- 12 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 1 cup soft herbed cheese (such as Boursin or Alouette)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 cups jarred tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine herbed cheese and mozzarella. Mix well.
Arrange lasagna noodles on a flat surface. Spoon a thin layer (about 1/4-inch thick) of cheese mixture onto each noodle. Starting from the shorter side, roll up noodles and secure with wooden picks.
Place rolls side-by-side in pan sprayed with cooking spray and pour tomato sauce over top. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until cheese filling melts and top is golden brown.
