... And I'm officially off the Gwyneth train. Seriously, I was one of the last passengers, bringing up the caboose, waiting and hoping for Gwyneth to do something not annoying, but alas, she's only gotten worse.
Gwyneth Paltrow, actress/Gooper/gangsta rap connoisseur/chef/singer/workout enthusiast, has just added another slash to her titles -- delusional lady. Yes, the tall, beautiful, talented, privileged woman can't seem to intellectualize the fact that she could ever do something annoying. In fact, if you think there's anything wrong with her, it's actually just you.
Gwynnie recently was asked by PopEater what her theory was as to why she has so many haters. Here's her response:
My theory is twofold. I think there's a part of me that because I think I do a lot, I think my work ethic is the reason why I'm successful. I think that a lot of people don't want to put in effort and it's easier to not change, not do something good for you, not work on your relationship, not make yourself a meal, not work out. [They're just] pissed off at someone else doing that. It's a projection. Sometimes if I hear of something really unkind or somebody's really misunderstood me or something like that for a second I'll be like, "Oooh wow that hurt," but almost immediately I'll be like, "poor guy." What state are they in that they're seeing that or projecting that.
Daaaamn, Gwyneth! You really do think your stuff don't stink! Maybe people just find you annoying, plain and simple! Maybe somebody just had the best day of their lives, then logged on to their computer and saw you spewing some poop about a juice cleanse, or your cookbook, or Jay-Z, and just thought, "Man, that woman is irritating and out of touch, I think I'll write that down somewhere." Just because someone says something bad about you doesn't mean there's something wrong with them. In fact, right now, I'm perfectly happy in my life. Doesn't mean I can't write about you.
Look, I get where you're going with this whole dime store psychology stuff here, and I think there is some truth to that theory -- sometimes. I think in your case, though, you're a little too preachy, and a wee bit overexposed, and people are just sick of it.
What do you think of Gwyneth?
