There are few combinations better than that of peanut butter and chocolate, and the more forms it comes in, the better. This peanut butter pie is easy to make and incredibly delicious with just the right amount of chocolate.
It's a great one to take to a gathering or just to serve for dessert when dining at home, though be warned that the leftovers can be lethal. It's not exactly diet-friendly, but then again, what good dessert is? And we all deserve a little good dessert sometimes.
Peanut Butter Pie
- 1 chocolate graham cracker crust, 9-inch (I buy pre-made, but you can make your own if you like)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened (light is fine)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 ounces whipped topping, like Cool Whip
- Chocolate shavings or chocolate syrup
Beat cream cheese until fluffy, then beat in sugar and peanut butter.
Slowly add milk, beating until smooth.
Fold in whipped topping.
Pour into crust and top with chocolate sauce or shavings.
Freeze until half an hour before you're ready to serve.
