New Year's Eve Party Ideas: The Only 3 Finger Foods You'll Need

If you're like thousands of other women, you're contemplating ideasfor your New Year's Eve Party. And of course, the biggest item on your to-do list: Figure out the menu.

I can forsee your thought process now: It's New Year's Eve! It has to be perfect. I'll need to get a good champagne. Friday's New Year's Eve!  What should I make?! This only happens once every 365 days! IT'S NEW YEAR'S EVE!

The good news: You don't need to serve an entire on meal, because if there was ever a holiday focused on the drinks -- it's this one. Our solution? Finger foods.


Sure, we've all served the frozen mini hot dogs and assorted quiche set before. But be the hostess with the mostest and check out the only three recipes you'll need this New Year's to bring your celebration to the next level:

Festive Fondue: A delicious fondue accompanied by a festive presentation is a sure-way to entertain (and satisfy!) guests. This pizza fondue recipe takes a yummy twist on a classic dish, sure to make your celebration delish.

What you'll need:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 (10 oz.) cans sauce
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves

Preparation: Brown the onions, garlic, and ground beef in a skillet -- then drain. Add in the rest of the ingredients and cook, stirring frequently, until all of the cheese melts and mixture is blended. Pour into a serving pot, and accompany with small pieces of breads, pieces of pizza dough brushed with olive oil.

Mini feta and caramelized onion puffed pastries: This finger food is the perfect option for the hostess who doesn't have a ton of time.
What you'll need:
  • 30 count frozen mini phyllo shells
  • 4 oz. reduced fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz. feta cheese
Preparation: Caramelize the onions in a skillet. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese and feta until well blended. Arrange the phyllo shells on a baking sheet, and top with a teaspoon of your cheese mixture and a little under a teaspoon of onions. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, and serve!
Toasted Ravioli: No celebration is complete without a tough of marinara. OK OK, so maybe that's my Italian roots talking, but for me -- it's true. This recipe makes good entertaining seem flawless.
What you'll need:
  • 2 dozen ravioli (of your choice)  -- thawed or fresh.
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
Preparation: Cook the raviolis, cool. Heat your 1 cup of oil (should be about 2 inches deep in your large skillet) to 375 degrees. Dip the raviolis in egg, cover in breadcrumbs, and then fry the raviolis until brown. Set the raviolis in a platter centered around the marinara sauce of your choice, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for garnish.
